SWP

We've changed business names - no more P-Tech Plumbing, or "Poo-Tech", as it's been affectionately known. We recently changed accountants and thought we'd get a fresh start with a new name too. Back to basics, with SWP. Oh, and we have a PO box now too. And I'm learning a new accounting package, we've recently acquired a new builder, we're looking for new staff ... new house, new baby ... it's all go go go!

My Suave Dad

Check out this suave character, you can see why a fresh-faced young lady like my Mother would fall for him. It was my Dad's birthday recently so thought I'd put this up to honour his memory.

But wait, there's more!

View from the lounge/dining area. It's a big difference from where we are now, surrounded by townhouses!

This is the inside view of the height of the ceiling in the lounge/dining area. Bit hard to imagine, but start at the middle window at the bottom of the picture, that's our ensuite... up from that is the height of the "normal" ceiling, ie in the ensuite and bedrooms and rest of the house. Then up from that, towards the top of the picture, is where the raked ceiling is going to finish. We didn't realise it would be this high... whoops!

And through this door is our beloved bedroom, well, the window anyway. I can't wait to get in there and have a look around, but the timber floor's not down yet and I'm too wussy to walk across the beams.

The Roof

Check out our roof! Strange to be excited about a roof, but there you have it. This is the first view you get of the house, being under one roof lining, it looks huge!

Side view, from right to left - we've got the garage, through to Scotty's store room, laundry, bathroom. Then on the lower level, there's our ensuite (you can see the long louvre window), walk-in robe and then our bedroom hidden behind the tree. This side view gives some indication of the height of the raked ceiling in the lounge/dining area - huge!

Front view - garage, study and bedrooms.

Zac's Girlfriends

Zac's never seen so many naked girls, let alone share a bath with them!

Zac the Mad Cow

He's a pretty happy kid considering he has mad cow disease! Just jokes, he does have the hand, foot and mouth virus though. Alas our run of good health is over. At least he doesn't have his shiner anymore.

House Update

From this...

To this, all in a matter of weeks! Here's our front entrance, with garage to the left and bedrooms to the right.

Here's Zaccy checking out his bedroom (shiner's almost gone now).

And this is the view from our lounge dining area - loads of windows to take in the view. We'll have timber floors and raked ceilings through here too.

And this is the side view. Our bedroom is in the foreground. Plenty of room underneath for Scotty's (planned) gym (don't laugh, he's serious!)

My First Black Eye

No, we didn't beat him up, Zac got a shiner from falling out of his high chair. On my watch too, so no blaming Scotty for this one! I thought the tray was locked in, but as you can see, that was not the case. I was just trying to do the right thing - every morning, he sqawks at my legs like a starving magpie, so this morning I put him in his high chair with some grapes so I could get his brekky as quick as I could (don't know where he gets this impatience from...). Next thing, WWWAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Home is Taking Shape!

Get a load of this! Things are happening so quickly, it's mind-blowing! This is our house, is hard to believe it's coming to fruition... all the planning and organising is starting to form into something real and tangible! I think reality will really set in when we start paying off the mortgage, but for now, we can be happy and excited! The picture below shows the floor beams of our house. Scotty is standing in a corner of our living room, the boards jutting out beyond him are our bedroom, the gap in front of him will be our deck, and the boards jutting out to the right (opposite our bedroom) is the rumpus room. The view is just awesome, can't wait for the trees to grow. Hidden behind all the timber on the front left of the photo is our garage, which now has a concrete floor. The builder says the frame will be up this week and the roof the next week after that.

Here's Scotty and Zacman standing under our bedroom, it's about 3m high, nice and breezy.

And here's the view to the west (bit washed out, was a sunny day). We saw a snake on the road the other day, right near that campervan. We're glad we'll be up high and away from him and his friends!
