Cabinets Are In

This is our kitchen. The light has washed out the colours a bit, the benchtop, splashback and appliances aren't in so it looks a bit plain but I'm very happy with it.

Here's the laundry.

And here's the ugly bathroom cabinet that I've had ripped out and replaced with a more attractive model. Sounds a bit extravagant I know, but I hate it and I'll always look at it and hate it. And we're building a new house so I've got to be happy! I knew I wouldn't like it but I felt a bit pressured to make a decision about it back when it was getting made. I should've stood my ground. Anyhow, we're not too out of pocket and we'll keep this for when we build downstairs. Tiles are going in this week so stay tuned for more photos.

Scott Needs

My friend Sheila has an awesome blog, http://sheilahiggings.blogspot.com, and I got this idea from her. I did myself first but it was nowhere near as hilarious as Scott. According to Google (an internet search engine), this is what "Scott needs" (in the order they appeared in the search results) ...

Scott needs nude models

Scott needs help from Maryland volleyball players

Scott needs to ask himself how he would have handled an officer who put concerns for a friend over the demands of the job. Then he needs to punish himself...

Scott needs this! Not so he can aim right, its to prevent him from pissing on the cats head all the time...

That Scott needs more sleep

Scott needs to leave Wal-Mart (that’s so funny – Wal-Mart is a supermarket in the States; picture a fat Scotty walking around a U.S. supermarket with a security guard asking him to leave!)

Scott needs to be shown the back door and he needs to go spend a year in meditation under the Dalai Lama

Scott needs a REAL SERIOUS BUTT CHEWING

And that’s just the first page!! I have never laughed so hard.

New Walls

Painting inside has started. At first, I wasn't too fussed on the colour. We chose Antique White USA and the first coat looked too creamy but a second coat looks better. This is me at 33 weeks, 7 weeks to go. I'm starting to think we won't be in on time...

Fireplace is in!

The Wiggles at Dreamworld

Yesterday we went to see the Wiggles and friends perform live at Dreamworld and to quote Captain Feathersword, "Oh what fun, oh what joy!" It was Scott's idea, he decided to have a "team-building" day with his two apprentices, Mark and Luke, and Zac and I went along of course, and I brought my cousin Nat and her daughter Jess. The kids, big and little, had a ball. Here's Henry the Octopus, Dorothy the Dinosaur and Waggs the Dog.

Here's Dorothy and Anthony (most women agree he's the hottest Wiggle).

Murray's lookin' a bit hot too, those skivvies are a buggar in warm weather!

Check out the excitment on Zac's face.

Jess is a little less expressive but I'm sure she's excited on the inside. Nat looks like she's enjoying having her hair played with.

More of Dreamworld

What an action-packed day. After the Wiggles performance, we went where? To Wiggles World of course! The kids were thrilled, when we turned the corner and saw the big Wiggles World sign, complete with music blaring, Zac spontaneously broke into his Wiggles dance, which I think is an imitation of Henry the Octopus. He waves his arms up and down and yells "Woo, woo!" (which I think means Wiggles!) The big kids (Scott, Mark, Luke and Nat) went on a ride while Zac, Jess and I played in a toy-filled fun zone. I think this was Zac's favourite part of Dreamworld. There were cars to ride in, houses and castles, slides and dolls, a kitchen, and costumes to dress up in. Zac's fave was the Big Red Car. Here he is with his eyes glued to the TV watching the Wiggles.

And this is Zac and Jess having their photo taken with Henry ... and Scotty playing Where's Wally in the background. Maybe he should've had his photo taken with Henry, he looks more excited than Zac! No, he's just being a proud Dad :)

Look at these cuties on Dorothy the Dinosaur's tea-cup ride.

After Wiggles World, we went to see some farmyard animals and some Australian wildlife. Jess was excited to see the koalas and Zac had fun pulling some kangaroo's tails. We also went to see the tigers, had to wait a bit for them to stop doing their business everywhere so I could take a decent photo.

After the tigers, we went on a few more rides. The little kids went on one of those flying chair rides (I went too, I had to go on something, felt a bit dizzy afterwards!) and on some flying planes. We had some treats afterwards. Scott's expression says it all - "Somebody's eating MY ice-cream!"

Nobody's eating this little girl's icecream but her! This is Zac's cousin, Jess. They had an awesome day together and were sooooooo good, they deserved 5 icecreams!

MC Hammer

That got your attention didn't it? I'm out of interesting titles and MC was on TV while I was writing this post. Apparently his trend-setting pants are coming back into fashion in Europe (according to Koshie anyway). Hmmm, I wonder what Scotty would look like in those pants...

Yes, more photos of the house. The scaffolding is finally down. Finally we get to see the finished product. (well, we still need stairs and a fence and a garden ...)

Inside we have the plastering, skirting boards and door frames done, ready for painting. Tilers should come in this week too. 8 weeks to go till bubba #2 is ready to join us ...
