Zac Turns Two

My little boy is growing up! And a bit of a chatterbox. His latest saying is a cricket chant his Dad taught him - "Ooo, ahh, Glenn McGrath". Looks like Zac-y might be winding up for a bit of a bowl... or not.

The cake, in typical boy's style, was decorated with Bob the Builder toys (decorating, and toys, is thanks to Cara; I wouldn't have thought to do this myself!)

Things are looking pretty serious around the cake table!

Go the junk food! In true Libran style, Zac couldn't decide what to eat so took nibbles out of everything.

Check this out - Zac helping Scotty lay the concrete for our outdoor water feature. He even ended up getting concrete in his gumboots!

Zac has FINALLY got the idea of posing for a photograph as opposed to constantly zipping around so that I just miss the perfect shot. OK so his smile is a little over the top but he's a cutie just the same.

2 Months On

Two months on and we're still happy families. Sunny is sleeping through till 5 or 6 most mornings now which is great!

My Kids and Me

My kids - that saying is so funny - I now have "kids", as in two of them! When people ask me how the family's going, they don't say "how's Zac?" anymore, it's "how's the kids"! Here they are lazing back on the lounges 76 floors above Surfers Paradise in the Q1 building. Already, they look pretty comfortable with each other...




... And here's me and my pretty. I think I got a look-in with this one. She has my long fingers and she reminds me of my mother's side with her fine features and olive skin.

Sunny at Home

Gotta love those bath shots. This is Sunny's first bath at home.



And this is Sunny with her big brother Zac. He's been sensational so far, I really am surprised. I thought he'd be a force to be reckoned with as he's always been Mummy's boy, but he's stepped up to the role of big brother very well. Aside from some pinching and a head-butt (unintentional), he's been very kind and gentle.

Now that's what I call a proud Dad!

And this is one proud cousin, Jess.

The colour's a bit off on this one but I thought she was a bit of a looker so had to put it in!

Our Little Ray of Sunshine

Hi everyone. I'm sorry I've been absent lately but within a week of moving into our new house, our internet died and it's only now - 6 weeks later - that it's back up and running again. I am one happy miss, especially because I now get to show off our new bundle!

Here she is, still in the womb - but only just! This photo was taken 2 hours before I had her - and in between contractions! I hadn't had many pregger's photo taken of me so I thought I'd better get this one. Soon after this I was in my hospital glad rags and sucking back the gas. It feels like such a long time ago now ...



And here she is - Sunny Leigh Wildman, born at 2.55pm on Tuesday 10 July 2007. She weighed 7p 8.5oz or 3.42 kg. This photo was taken when she was 1 day old and fresh from her first bath.

All together now - ahhhhhh! Isn't she cute?

Zacman

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been a bit slack on the blog lately. I've been crazy busy sorting out house stuff and getting Scotty's work in order. House preparations are still going well, the light fittings are going in, the floor is getting sanded and polished this week. I just can't wait till it's all over, too many decisions!!

Here's the Zacman, looking cool as a cucumber in his sunnies. He doesn't seem to mind that they're upside down! And this is his first fake camera smile, woo-hoo!



And here's Zac's new dolly, Lollapalooza, on loan from his cousin Jess - thanks Jesso! We're hoping dolly will help Zac deal with a new sister. I'll keep you posted on that one.


Here's a fine example of Zac asserting his independence. Can you guess what word he's saying?? - it's "don't"! But said in a long, drawn-out whingy kind of way, like: "DO-NNNNNNNN'T"!

Bathrooms

Here's our ensuite and I must admit it has grown on me. The mirror, towel ring and shower screen still needs to go in but everything else is in.



Showerheads! Can't wait to test out that overhead one.

Main bathroom. Would've liked more feature tiles but the tilers didn't do what I asked, even though I spoke to the builder AND left written instructions! Not worth stressing about though.

And here's the new vanity which is much nicer than the brown boxy ugly one which featured in an earlier post.

The Countdown

The countdown is on. We did up a schedule the other day and our moving in date is Thursday 28th June - fingers crossed anyway. Cutting it a bit fine - I'm due on Thursday 5th July! So we'll see what happens. I finished work this week which is a huge load off but I got sick over the week-end which was great timing as it was my birthday. I've been told that 31 is the new 21 which makes me feel a teensy bit better.

Here's our finished-off fireplace (on an angle cos I didn't want my legs showing in the glass!)


And our kitchen. The benchtop was meant to be in but the stone guys cut the sink out wrong.
