Boys and Dirt

Check out the cheeky expressions. As you can see, these boys think our house is tops. There's ladders to climb, scaffolding to crawl under, dirt to roll in, rooms to explore...


And DIRT! Piles of it, everywhere! It gets up your nose, friends throw it on you when you're not looking, tastes OK too!

Zacy's not as dirty as Cooper, think that's because Zac was the one doing the dirt throwing. "Nobody saw me do it, you can't prove anything!"

Mumma in da House

This is me, 30 weeks down, 10 to go, trying to choose external paint colours. Glad I did this, I would've picked the wrong colour otherwise!

House Update Update Update

Update update update update (those of you who watch funniest home videos will get my joke...) Front door is in! Outside rendering nearly done.

Trusty, mean-lookin' renderer hard at work - on a Sunday, no less! So happy with the builder so far, they're really motoring along, and are really easy to get along with. Scotty's even gotten a plumbing quote out of it, so we'll see what happens there! The green sheet in the picture below is going to be Colourbond cladding. Painting of the outside starts this week. The deck should also go down this week. And Scotty has been busy helping the plasterer put up the internal walls. It's mind boggling what has to be done. I can't wait till it's done, then we can relax! (kinda... then comes the WAAAAAAAHHHHHHH of a baby girl)

Mr green feet. It's science month at Zac's kindy, so that means some experimenting with food dye, water and sand. Mr Curious couldn't keep still and just had to walk all over the experiment.

Here's the boys working (so this is what you do on a job site) - Scotty and Zac, Sully the camo-clad sparky and Hayden, the site supervisor. Scotty and Sully have been busy doing the electrical rough-in - running cables for the lights and switches. The decisions haven't stopped this week - we've organised wardrobes, kitchen, laundry and bathroom cabinets, electrics, and we've been to Harvey Norman Industrial Centre to get our kitchen appliances and plumbing fixtures. Now, THAT was exciting. I like making these kinds of decisions, the structural ones, not so fun.
